About the garden: The parish of Chilthorne Domer was part of the Stone Hundred. The manor house was built in 1720 and has its own well. Late 20th century additions by Frank Taylor, master mason. Ham stone ashlar; Welsh slate roofs between coped gables; stone slab chimney stacks.
In the garden about 70 feet (21 m) south of the house is a six-seater privy with two small ones for children built about 172. It was in regular use until 1939.
Herbaceous borders - 17th century barns, all beautifully maintained
